Getting there
So our stop over in Singapore was done and dusted, my tummy was full of dumplings and we were about to board our next flight, on Fin Air.
Now I came up with a joke about Fin Air.
‘What airline do fish travel?’
‘Fin Air.’
Come on that’s pretty funny – well my mum and dad thought so.
After a quick stop over in Helsinki we were off to our final destination for a few days – Sweden.
Stockholm
So we got to Stockholm and by that time we had been travelling for about 36 hours. I got to say me and Dad were a little tired and a little crabby!
The next couple of days was off exploring Stockholm which is the capital of Sweden. We did lots of walking, and yes I might have complained a little little bit.
Looking back on it though I saw some pretty awesome places.
My dad had lots of stories to tell me about when he was here as a kid doing an exchange. He told me about how much it has changed.
I really liked Stockholm, and look forward to going back one day. Maybe for a bit longer so we can explore some more and let the jet lag wear off.
Train trip
We get to catch a train now up to my dad’s friends who live in Uddevalla. I wish my brother was here because he loves trains and the trains in Sweden are pretty cool.
My dad informs me that we caught the X2000 tilt train to Herrljung and then the West traffik train to Uddevalla. Dad had bought the tickets before we left so he had it all sorted.
He also mentioned that Sweden was the first country to use the tilt trains in the 80s . For those lovers of trains and train info check out this link about Sweden and their rail technology.
Did I mention my dad loves trains as well.
We caught a train from the Airport and it was cheap and the kids travelled free. Not to mention it went so fast – faster than the ones back home.
So off I go again!
Stay tuned for what happens next.
